COMPANY SECRETARY (CS)

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has been constituted under an Act of Parliament i.e., the Company Secretaries Act, 1980 (Act No.56 of 1980) to develop and regulate the profession of Company Secretaries. The ICSI functions under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. The affairs of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) are managed by a Council consisting of fifteen elected members and five nominees of the Central Government. The Companies Act, 2013 confers special status to Company Secretaries as the Key Managerial Personnel along with Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer, Manager, whole-time director(s) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

LEVEL-I: CS FOUNDATION

Eligibility : CS Foundation Pass / CA Foundation Pass (or) Any Degree Pass (or) CMA Foundation Pass

NOTE:

  1. This is with effect from 01 March 2018
  2. Minimum Marks : 40% in Each Paper
  3. Aggregate : 50% in all the Papers in that Group.
  4. The subjects of Intermediate Course are classified into two groups which a student can study and appear in the examination group-wise or both the groups together.

LEVEL : CS PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMME (FINAL)

Eligibility : CS Executive Programme Pass
