Eligibility Criteria

For CA Foundation (Entry Level)

After 10+2:

• Pass 12th standard from recognized board
• No minimum percentage required
• All streams eligible (Commerce, Science, Arts)
• Can register during or after 12th

For CA Intermediate (Direct Entry)

For Graduates:

• Commerce graduates: 55% aggregate
• Non-commerce graduates: 60% aggregate
• Any stream accepted

Admission Process – Step by Step

Step 1: Visit ICAI Portal

Website: www.icai.org

• Click on “Student” section
• Select “New Registration”

Step 2: Choose Your Route

Foundation Route (After 12th):

• Ideal for students after 12th standard
• Duration: 4.5-5 years total
• Path: Foundation → Intermediate → Articleship → Final

Direct Entry Route (After Graduation):

• Ideal for Commerce/Non-commerce graduates
• Duration: 3.5-4 years
• Path: Intermediate → Articleship → Final

Step 3: Fill Application Form

• Personal details
• Educational qualifications
• Contact information
• Address details

Step 4: Upload Documents

Foundation Level:

• Class 10 marksheet
• Class 12 marksheet (if results declared)
• Passport size photograph
• Signature scan

Intermediate Direct Entry:

• Graduation degree/provisional certificate
• All semester marksheets
• Class 10 & 12 certificates
• Passport photograph
• Signature

Step 5: Pay Registration Fee

Payment Mode: Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI

Step 6: Submit Application

• Review all details carefully
• Submit online application
• Save acknowledgment/registration number
• Print confirmation for records

Step 7: Receive Confirmation

• Email confirmation from ICAI
• Registration number allotted
• Student registration number (SRN)
• Access to ICAI student portal

Foundation Exams:

• May 2025: Registration closes March 2025
• July 2025: Registration closes May 2025
• November 2025: Registration closes September 2025
• January 2026: Registration closes November 2025

Intermediate Exams:

• May 2025: Registration closes February 2025
• November 2025: Registration closes August 2025
